RCEL is calling for Engineering Graduate Students to present their breakthrough research in 90 seconds!

The inside story of the Rice grads who helped build Silicon Valley. Author Katherine Maxfield will present her book, “Starting Up Silicon Valley: How ROLM Became a Cultural Icon and Fortune 500 Company”

As part of on-going outreach to Rice Engineering graduate and undergrad students, the Rice Engineering Alumni organization is hosting a panel discussion and networking event on career development. This event will be a great opportunity to learn more about what engineers do in the field and how your skill sets can be used in the future.

OwlSpark and Rice Launch host an event introducing Rice undergrads, graduate students and MBAs to the world of entrepreneurship and providing them with tools, resources, and connections necessary to pursue their own entrepreneurial ventures.

The annual IGNITE “Trek” provides entrpreneurial students with an opportunity to meet successful and up-and-coming entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and hear personal stories about building companies. The five-day excursion also includes attending the 2015 IGNITE conference at UC-Davis.

RCEL 2015 Seniors graduating with a RCEL Certificate in Engineering Leadership will participate in life lesson sessions, leadership exercises, bonding activities – and fun extracurricular offerings at La Toretta Lake Resort in Montgomery, Texas.

RCEL is partnering with BP and TrumballUnmanned to host a FREE summer camp at Rice University focused on teaching 7-8th grade students the fundamentals of engineering, building, and flying drone aircraft.

An elite, hands-on experience, this leadership “obstacle” course offers a chance to develop leadership skills through rigorous team-building, reflection, and more.
