Scholar-E: A Human-Centered Scholarship Coach Powered by Specialized AI Agents

Sponsor: System Innovation - Dr. Tracee Gilbert
Keywords: Scholarship Application Coaching, Human-Centered AI Systems, LangGraph-Based Multi-Agent Workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Personalized Educational
Summary:
Scholar-E is a human-centered, AI-powered platform that uses a coordinated system of specialized agents to help students discover suitable scholarships, understand what each opportunity is asking for, and develop stronger applications aligned with each scholarship’s prompt and mission. Through structured prompts and AI-assisted extraction from uploaded documents, students build a single, evolving digital profile that captures their experiences, achievements, interests, and goals. Scholar-E’s agents first assess each student’s eligibility and fit for an opportunity by matching scholarship requirements with their profile, then provide grounded, personalized guidance for essay development and revision. Rather than writing on the student’s behalf, Scholar-E helps them strengthen each draft through clear criteria, targeted feedback, and tracked revisions, while keeping student voice, ownership, and agency at the center.

ATR 360 Sales Lead Generation Platform

Sponsor: Agellus Tank Robotics - Kweku Sekyiamah
Keywords: Lead Generation, Data Pipeline, Lead Scoring, Data Enrichment, CRM, AI Outreach, Aboveground Storage Tanks
Summary:
An end-to-end, cloud-native platform that converts fragmented public storage-tank regulatory data into a scored, sales-ready pipeline. The system automatically ingests facility and tank registries from six states (TX, OK, NM via state agencies; AL, LA, MS via the U.S. EPA), deduplicates and reconciles the records, and enriches them with EPA Facility Registry matches and Apollo company data. A weighted, per-state scoring model ranks 20,000+ accounts by fit, surfacing the highest-value prospects. A React CRM lets ATR's sales team own, prioritize, and contact leads, with AI-assisted email outreach (grounded in each lead's real facts and sent via Gmail) and a website chatbot that answers product questions and captures inbound interest. The platform replaces hours of manual prospecting per rep each week, shifting sales time from finding leads to closing them, and doubles as the team's system of record.

Rice University Faculty Search Co-Pilot

Sponsor: Alexander Byrd
Keywords: AI-Powered Faculty Recruitment, Natural Language Search, Talent Pipeline Analytics, Research & Institution Mapping, Enterprise GCP Deployment
Summary:
Faculty Search CoPilot is an AI-powered platform designed to help university search committees make more informed and data-driven faculty hiring decisions. Through natural-language queries, the platform integrates academic workforce data, institutional characteristics, program rankings, and research information to identify talent pipelines, research expertise, and potential candidates. Its capabilities span micro-level faculty insights, meso-level institutional and research analysis, and macro-level talent landscape insights, supported by interactive maps and visualizations. As the platform evolves, the project aims to integrate Faculty Search CoPilot into Rice University’s technology ecosystem using GCP and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, enabling secure access, streamlined data integration, and long-term scalability. By helping search committees understand where relevant talent exists, what expertise is available, and how potential talent pools compare with applicant pools, the platform supports more strategic and efficient faculty recruitment.
