Graduate Fellowship Grant Writing Workshop

• Overview of writing a grant proposal
• Review criteria for NSF and NDSEG
• What to include in each of the two sections
• How to write each section clearly and persuasively
• How to avoid plagiarism (You will need to cite papers.)
• Close analysis of a sample NSF proposal

For this workshop, bring a brief summary of the research you propose to do.  (Your proposed research cannot simply be an extension of what you have already worked on.) Identify the university and professor you would like to work with.  You need specifics!

Individual feedback conferences

If you attend the September 19 workshop, you may request a one-hour feedback conference with Dr. Hewitt to discuss one section.  Appointments are limited to those who attend on September 19.
