The fast-paced lightning talk competition for graduate research is back! SCREECH is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th, 2016. It will take place in McMurtry Auditorium of Duncan Hall.
This seminar aims to challenge the prevailing myths and opinions about the importance of considering a Ph.D. in Engineering. In under 40 minutes, the speaker will attempt to show that many of society’s game changers of tomorrow will be those among you who emerge as leaders in technology, and the clearest, most catapulting pathway to this end, is via a PhD in engineering.

It’s been another great year at RCEL! Come out and enjoy crawfish and pizza with your fellow Certificate students! We will recognize our seniors and the new Student Leadership, as well as welcome new Certificate students to the program.
At the upcoming summer Rice Drone Camp, middle school students will explore the engineering and science of drone technology and UAV systems, while also examining the social and cultural implications of technological advances. The program will include technical lectures from Rice faculty and professional engineers, project-based learning experiences, and hands-on training in drone operation.
