RCEL Design Challenge introduces students to RCEL

On Friday, April 8, a group of curious undergrads took part in a competition to find out what it's like to be in the RCEL certificate program. Student teams were tasked with building a bridge that would hold a maximum number of "cars," with the help of an RCEL certificate program student coach.

A Q&A session afterward allowed them to ask questions about the program, with the coaches talking about their experiences and the impact that RCEL has had on them. Congrats to the winning team - (front row, left to right) Travis Kwee, MECH sophomore; Daphne Wang, MECH freshman; Joanna Zhou, CS junior; and Ruo Jia, MECH sophomore, among with their coach Elizabeth Goodnight, MECH sophomore.

Thanks to these RCEL students for doing a great job on the event: Nick Bernal, MECH senior; Massey Branscomb, MSNE junior; Lily Wen, CS junior; Cassie Wang, CS junior; Nick Sepulveda, MECH sophomore; and Juan Valenzuela, MECH sophomore.
