In its second year, Rice ELITE Tech Summer camp increased enrollment to 360 students, with students joining from 27 states and three countries. The camp, which ran four consecutive weeks in June, also introduced scholarship opportunities to Houston-area students, with 60 students joining camp through this program.

After being cancelled in 2020, COVID restrictions and ever changing weather couldn’t keep teams of engineering undergrads from taking on the Splashdown challenge! Four teams worked through rain and shine to create cardboard crafts to cross the Rice Rec Center competition pool with varying success. RCEL Student Leadership worked hard to bring the spring recruiting event to life amid the ever changing COVID restrictions, and pulled off a successful event! Way to go team!
